Aardex LLC is a vertically integrated design-build firm. We are committed to the built environment; reflecting the highest standards in sustainability.

Founded in 1983 by CEO Rick Butler, the company’s Signature Centre is one of only a handful of buildings in the world to achieve a Double LEED Platinum status in both Core and Shell and for Aardex’s interiors. The company also built the Muskogee Community Hospital in Oklahoma, one of the nation’s first ground source geothermal hospitals. The project was certified LEED Gold in 2009.

The company’s primary mission is to design structures that improve worker productivity. We have a full Menu of Client Services to offer.

Building features include individual temperature and ventilation control through underfloor air delivery systems. Other elements include harvested natural light, indoor pollution controls and acoustic privacy.

A healthy workplace pays dividends to the bottom line of business; creating positive impacts in absenteeism, and reducing hiring and re-training costs to name just a few of the benefits.

In 2004, Mr. Butler authored the book User Effective® Buildings, an innovative approach to building structures that contribute to improved human performance. Strategies in healthcare development and build-to-suit quickly followed and the company had tripled in size by 2007.
