Led by CEO and Founder Richard E. Butler, this integrated group includes architects, engineers, contractors, construction management specialists, market assessment and land-use analysts, healthcare planners, financing specialists, marketing experts, real estate developers and property service managers.

 

Development Team

Rick Butler, Aardex Founder, CEO and Principal has been creating innovative properties for 35 years, completing more than 100 commercial projects.  He developed the integrated and collaborative mission of the Company which includes development, design, construction management and property management. He is the author of User Effective® Buildings, which demonstrates the power of smart design on worker productivity.

Ben Weeks, Executive Principal, has more than 30 years experience in development/construction operations and management. Ben led the Signature Centre project which was completed in 2007. The building became Colorado’s first commercial LEED Platinum structure.

Skip Hohnhorst, Principal, has been an acquisition and property management expert for more than 25 years. For Skip, the key is to take nothing for granted in suitability or availability. He handles all aspects of taxation, contract terms, legal, zoning and title issues. He also has extensive involvement in design review and evaluates the future operations of our structures.

Shane Fowler, Principal, has more than $500 million dollars in completed construction projects with 15 years experience. A founding member of the Colorado Chapter of the United States Green Building Council.

Chris Ernst, Principal, Senior Vice President of Business Development, has closed $600 million dollars in commercial real estate in his career. Chris initiated the company’s medical developments in 2004. Aardex currently has medical developments in Texas and California.

Management Team

Jeff Seberg, Chief Financial Officer, Principal, has been in the real estate industry for more than 20 years and, specifically, in a CFO capacity for the past twelve years. He has a keen understanding of the financial nuances of a transaction, possessing a unique talent for discovering sources of financing (whether debt or equity) and bringing them together for a successful outcome.

Ashley Lemon, AIA, Vice President of Design and Construction
With 15 years of experience, Ashley has contributed to more than 3 million square feet of built space in commercial, educational, retail, healthcare and residential projects. He leads the design efforts for all Aardex projects, as well as general oversight of project construction.

Harry Knight, Vice President of Construction Services
Harry Knight is a building veteran with more than 20 years industry experience, primarily as a construction manager. Harry has played a leadership role in the construction of 10 major medical projects in the past five years. He leads the pre-construction and purchasing efforts for the company. Harry lead the development team on the Muskogee Community Hospital through pre-construction, entitlement and LEED certification. At 95,000sf, the LEED Gold MCH is the nation’s first ground-source geothermal hospital.
