Aardex LLC is a nationwide, full-service developer, architect, construction manager and property services firm based in Golden, Colorado. The Aardex group includes architects, engineers, contractors, construction management specialists, financing specialists, property managers and support staff second to none in the industry. A recognized leader in build-to-suit User Effective workplaces, we focus upon building structures that are sustainable, economical, efficient, and humanistic.

Aardex LLC was founded in 1983 by Richard E. Butler, Aardex cut it's teeth specializing in GSA construction; builiding a diverse portfolio of structures for the Federal government primarily in the Rocky Mountain West. Clients include the Forest Service, the IRS, National Archives, Social Security and many more. In more recent years, Aardex LLC has developed, designed, and built quality medical, office, and hospitality facilities all over the country, including California, Texas and Oklahoma.

In 2007, the company completed its User Effective Builidngs prototype, Signature Centre in Golden, Co. Colorado's first commercial LEED Platinum building, Signature Centre received numerous awards including NAIOP's 2008 National "Green Development of the Year" award. In March of 2009, the buildings' interiors became certified LEED Platinum for Commercial Interiors, making Aardex the second company in the world to achieve "PURE" Platinum, inside and out.

With Mr. Butler's retirement in 2011, long-time Sr. Vice President and Principal Chris Ernst became the new CEO/President of Aardex LLC. Mr. Ernst was the driving force in developing buildings in the private sector and extending our service lines to healthcare, multi-family and hospitality. Chris will continue the sustainable practices Aardex has achieved while expanding the third party services.

Most recently, Aardex has developed healthcare facilities in four states, including the nation's first geothermal hospital in Oklahoma, and St. Anthony North's Medical office building in Westminster, Co., both with LEED gold certification.
