Federal Center Station Mixed-Use Project

The Federal Center Station Mixed-Use Project will be located at the junction of 2nd Place and Routt Street (near 6th Avenue and Union Boulevard) in Lakewood.

Aardex LLC is planning the development in conjunction with the Master Planned Denver Federal Center, the Regional Transportation District and the City of Lakewood as a Private/Public partnership.

Located on 15.3 acres of land and servicing the West portion of the Federal Center’s Master Planned Office park, Aardex plans to develop a sustainable village, reducing the neutral carbon footprint by half.

The mixed use campus will be comprised of several complementary product types to enhance the diversity and quality of life in the City of Lakewood as well as breathe life and connectivity into the greater community.

Federal Center Station lies along the FasTracks West Corridor, 10 miles west of Auraria Campus, where it will serve Colorado’s largest hospital, St. Anthony West, which is scheduled to open in late 2011.

A 16 bay transfer facility, including 1000 parking spaces, a kiss-n-Ride, park-n-Ride, light rail platform with lockers and bike storage will be developed along with an additional 1500 parking spaces for easy access to the multi-use development.

The 4.7B FasTracks initiative servicing the West Corridor will complement the development, providing easy access to downtown and a sense of great connectivity for each of the featured components. The West Corridor FasTracks program will be the first metro transportation leg completed, opening early 2013.
