AARDEX ANNOUNCES ARKANSAS MEDICAL DEVELOPMENT
Denver developer partners with region’s largest physician group
Aardex LLC, developers of User Effective® Buildings, has been awarded the contract to build a medical office building for the Northeast Arkansas Clinic in Jonesboro. NEA is the largest physician group in northeast Arkansas.
The three story 120,000 square foot facility will consolidate many of NEA’s real estate holdings in the region. Aardex will both design and build the new structure as well as dispose of five smaller facilities currently housing the group’s diverse staff. The Clinic has been in existence since 1977 and currently employs 83 physicians in 19 locations encompassing 29 medical specialties and subspecialties.
Aardex principal-in-charge of the project, James Turpen, says he will focus on providing a building that enhances the patient and provider experience. “Our User Effective applications will improve the Clinic’s productivity,” said Turpen. “Sustainability in the medical workplace is a priority for us and much needed in healthcare across the country.”
Scot Davis, NEA’s chief operating officer, says Aardex will do much more than just construct the new building. “The disposition of our other properties, the creative financing work and the fact that they perform all services from design to construction is a huge plus for us. We are so busy with our own practice; we need that kind of flexibility from our partners.”
