Signature Centre wins Jefferson County’s Design for Excellence 2007 Award
Aardex LLC, a nation wide, full service design, development and construction firm received Jefferson County’s highest honor, the Commissioners’ Award, for its work in developing the Signature Centre at Denver West.
The County’s Design for Excellence Awards 2007 recognized leaders in Multi-Use, Commercial, Industrial and Sustainable development. Other developments recognized included the Colorado Mills Mall, The Shops at Walnut Creek and Exempla Lutheran Hospice.
The Signature Centre, a 186,000 square foot office development, is the largest LEED Platinum speculative project in the country; and, was 100% pre-leased prior to its opening in June of 2007. The design includes underfloor air throughout the five floor structure, individual ventilation and temperature controls and natural daylighting. Energy usage for the building will be equal to a structure half its size. The Class AA office property is located at 14143 Denver West Parkway, near the intersection of Denver West Marriott Boulevard and I-70 on the West side of Denver.
“I drive by this building every day, and it’s been amazing to witness the work Aardex has done,” said Commissioner Kevin McCaskey, who presented the award. “This is a beautiful building and a great addition to Jefferson County.”
